The European open source Voxit community has released versions 1.3 and 1.4 of the Voxit participation platform. The new releases bring moderation tools into the administration interface and complete the Voxit visual design work begun in earlier versions.
The releases continue the development started with versions 1.1 and 1.2, which introduced the new administration architecture and support for translated conversation topics.
Voxit 1.3 introduces moderation
Voxit 1.3, released on 18 August, adds a preliminary moderation frontend. It gives administrators a first interface for reviewing the statements that participants submit to a conversation.
Voxit 1.4 turns moderation into a working tool
Voxit 1.4, released on 20 August, develops that view into something usable in practice. Administrators can now page through statements, search them by keyword and filter them by moderation status. The release also finalises the interface’s functionality, although the visual design was not yet fully applied.
Version 1.4.1, released on 27 August, completes that design work and fixes several issues in navigating the translation dialog. On the server side it adds a new format for raw Polis results, required by the upcoming report frontend, and support for multiple CORS origins.
